Insects that fight alongside you by following instructions given to them with your Insect Glaive. Kinsects are able to take a number of Extracts from monsters that will power you up. You can equip and strengthen a wide variety of Kinsects.

Kinsects have 5 stats, Attack, Speed, Stamina, Powder and Recovery (this is a hidden value). These stats range in level from 1 to a max of 15 and are determined by the Kinsect Lv on the Insect Glaive you have equipped.
A substance extracted from monsters. There are four kinds in total: Red, White, Orange, and Green. The color you can extract differs depending on the parts of each monster. Gathered Extracts can be absorbed by recalling your Kinsect, with each color granting a different effect. Absorbing multiple colors will produce even more effects. The effects will end after a period of time. Different colors of Extracts will provide different effects. Combine multiple colors to produce even more effects. Red: Allows you to charge with Circle (on PS5) White: Increases movement speed and jump height Orange: Grants Flinch Free Red+White: Increases Attack White+Orange: Increases Defense Red+White+Orange: Alters certain attacks and increases Attack further
Kinsects will leave behind Effect Powder when attacking the marked monster part. Attacking the powder will make it explode, causing a number of different effects.

Kinsects get the same Element and Value as the Insect Glavie you are using. However they do NOT get any of the 4 Ailments (Poison, Sleep, Paralysis or Blast).
