There are three types of shelling: normal, wide, and long. Normal shells have the most capacity. Wide shells make for more powerful Shelling and Wyvern's Fire attacks. Long shells make for more powerful Wyrmstake Cannon attacks.
Ammo is required to fire Shelling. Each shot consumes one shell, but you can quickly refill them by using Reload or Quick Reload.
Ammo that is required to use the Wyrmstake Cannon. Consumed each time the Wyrmstake Cannon is fired and can be recovered using Reload.
A gauge required to use Wyvern's Fire—an attack that inflicts powerful damage that includes the fire element and cuts through a monster's hide. This gauge recovers automatically, but can also be filled by landing hits. Up to two segments can be charged at once. Using Wyvern's Fire consumes one segment.
