Fish that have large, protruding eyes on either side of their heads and explosive scales that are useful in bomb-making. They were considered Endemic Life in MHWorld, but are now Aquatic Life in MHWilds. Gunpowderfish is a Aquatic Life first introduced in MHWorld.

evolved through human manipulation, only
to become wild sometime later. Gunpowderfish
show a strong interest in Emerald Jitterbait.
