Fish with flat heads, broad mouths, and long whiskers. They are known to grow to a considerable size. They used to be considered a Fish, which you could carve if killed with a Fishing Harpoon when first introduced in the series, but have been changed to Endemic Life since MHWorld and then to Aquatic Life in MHWilds. Gajau is a Aquatic Life first introduced in MHTri.

a human. While an Eastland Gajau is wary
and will flee from a perceived threat, there
have been documented Gajau attacks in other
parts of the world. Researchers link such
differences in behavior to habitat. Gajau
show a strong interest in Duster Rigs.
