Monster Characteristics:
Fanged beasts with pink fur. Packs typically
consist of females and juveniles. An adult
male Congalala may occasionally be sighted
within a pack, but these are non-social
creatures that don't establish a chain of
command. Beware their terrific flatulence,
as they will use it to inflict stench on
perceived threats.
Conga are native to the Scarlet Forest, where their bright pink fur makes them immediately recognizable. They often move in groups despite being non-social and displaying territorial aggression toward both hunters and large monsters. Though comical in appearance, their behavior can be erratic and dangerous, especially when provoked.
Conga resemble monkeys in form and movement but possess hippo-like jaws. Their eyes are orange-brown, set beneath two small horns, and crowned by a tuft of blonde-green hair. Unique pointed ears and a forward-facing nose give them a distinctive profile. Their mouths contain four lower teeth—two large and two small—blunt yet still capable of delivering painful bites. A small patch of pink chin hair and a dark grey underbelly further distinguish their colouration. They walk on all fours, their forelimbs ending in three claws and a thumb-like digit, while the hind legs bear four claws. Their tails are nearly as long as their bodies, and the underside of the tip is lined with three fleshy pads. These pads act much like the palm of a hand, allowing the tail to grasp or stabilize objects, giving the Conga surprising dexterity.
Conga are known for aggressive displays, striking with claw swipes, body slams, and powerful leaping attacks. They are also capable of releasing sudden bursts of flatulence, which disorient nearby foes. Though not the most lethal of monsters, their unpredictable movements and antics make them a constant nuisance in the forest.
