Large fish with a habit of gobbling up everything they see—including a hunter's tools. They used to be considered a Fish, which you could get by using a Fishing Rod when first introduced in the series, but have been changed to Endemic Life since MHWorld and then to Aquatic Life in MHWilds. Gastronome Tuna is a Aquatic Life first introduced in MH4.

Gastronome Tuna are commonly observed
during the season of Plenty, when smaller
fish are abundant. Food is scarce during
the Fallow, however, so sightings become
rare as they move to more fruitful feeding
grounds. They show a strong interest in
Tuff Joint Bait.
